Following critical acclaim and two sold-out engagements for an original production limited to just six audience members per performance, Slanted Floors returns by popular demand, reimagined in a new, expanded engagement in an intimate performance space for 30 audience members within the Astor Place Theatre building in Lower Manhattan.
Hailed by the Daily Beast as “New York’s most unique and exclusive pieces of theatre,” Slanted Floors invites you into the home of Kaplan (Chanler-Berat) and Teddy (Beltran) who live in a rent-controlled apartment downtown where they work, gossip, and dream. This one night, you’re invited into their home.
Please note: This is a site-specific piece of theater, but it is not immersive. This means audiences will watch this show in a space designed as an apartment but will remain in their seats for the entire performance. Additionally, the types of seats may vary from person to person (e.g. stools, benches, couch, etc.) and sight lines will vary from seat to seat. This production contains partial nudity. Recommended for ages 14 and up.
